• Practice yoga with an empty stomach. Refrain from eating two hours before class.
  • Refrain from wearing strong scents or perfumes. Do not wear noisy jewelry.
  • Please do not chew gum in yoga class.
  • Plan to arrive 10 minutes before class is scheduled to start.
  • Enter into the meditative quality of the room by avoiding loud talking.
  • Use the 10 minutes for stretching, relaxing on your back, or sitting meditation.
  • At the end of class, respond to your teacher's closing "Jai Bagwan" with "Jai Bagwan". Offer it as well to your fellow classmates. This phrase from the Kripalu tradition is the same as "Namaste," which is used in many other yoga traditions. It acknowledges the divine light in each being.
